Helminthic therapy is the use of live helminths, aka intestinal worms, as a therapeutic
intervention for immune-mediated diseases. I’ll review the history and MOA, present the
literature regarding safety and efficacy for a variety of conditions, talk about providers and
other nuts-and-bolts aspects of the therapy, then have time for Q&A.

Mark Davis, ND is a 2011 graduate of NUNM.
He’s licensed in Maryland, the District of Columbia, Oregon and California, but he’s currently on sabbatical from clinical care until April 2023. He’s on the editorial board of the Natural Medicine Journal, he teaches the gastroenterology course at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, and he helped to co-found the GastroANP.
He’s worked with FMT since 2011 and helminthic therapy since 2013.
