Prokinetics are a very helpful tool for gastrointestinal conditions. They stimulate and coordinate intestinal motility and can be used to treat both symptoms, such as acid reflux and bloating, as well as disorders, such as gastroparesis and SIBO.  In this class Dr. Siebecker discusses both pharmaceutical and natural prokinetics, including their mechanisms of action, safety and dosing strategies. She covers which symptoms and disorders they can be used for, with an extra emphasis on SIBO.  Dr. Siebecker shares her clinical pearls including how to combine prokinetics and handle side effects and clinical resistance.

Allison Siebecker, ND, MSOM, LAc, is instructor of Advanced Gastroenterology, as well as former Medical Director and Co-Founder of the SIBO Center for Digestive Health at the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM).

She is IBS faculty for the GI Health Foundation and is the Co-Founder of the NUNM SIBO Symposium and GI Conference- continuing education for physicians.
